Spend the Saturdays of Summer at Cockatoo Island's Sunset Sessions, our relaxed live music series. 

13 January – Ruby Jackson

Looking for some Australian R&B/Soul? Add a touch of jazz and you’ve got Ruby Jackson – a world-class, up-and-coming artist with breathtaking vocals and songwriting. After performing at BIGSOUND and SXSW Sydney, Ruby Jackson has proven herself as an unmissable live act with incredible range.

2023 saw the release of Ruby’s dazzling singles ‘Guilty Pleasure’ and ‘You’ve Changed’, and her debut EP ‘Sweeter For Me’, all receiving strong support from triple j, Double J, FBi Radio, iHeart Radio and more.

Kicking off the Sunset Sessions season with Ruby is Sunny Reyne, a vocalist and musician hailing from Melbourne, Australia. Her warm, lush vocal timbre highlights a distinctive neo-soul and alt-pop sound, emphasising the subtleties of groove and synth-laden beats.

For the shows scheduled between 13 January to 16 March, doors open at 5pm and close at 8pm. For the shows on 23 March, 30 March and 6 April, doors open at 4pm and close at 7pm. See below for the artist line-up:
